Simon trained extensively in art and design, achieving his masters degree in Leicester. Having spent many idyllic childhood summer holidays in Pembrokeshire, he returned to begin professionally painting there in 1994 and made the area his home.

His paintings are to be found in all corners of the world from Finland to New Zealand, his atmospheric and figurative water-colours distil the diverse moods, depth of light and rich sky colours unique to the Pembrokeshire coastline captured in all seasons.

Simons love of the ocean is reflected in his subject matter and local working boats are characteristic of many of his paintings particularly the infamous Solva fishing boat 'The Vital Spark'!

His work can be seen at The Swinfield Gallery on Main Street Solva, and various art outlets in the county.
